CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

For the 2024 National Environmental Justice Conference and Training Program

The 2024 National Environmental Justice Conference and Training Program planners are inviting individuals to submit abstracts, not to exceed two pages, related to environmental justice.  Each abstract should include the submitter’s name, affiliation, full contact information, and the amount of time being requested.

The 2024 National Environmental Justice Conference and Training Program is currently scheduled to be held on April 16-18, 2024 in Washington, D.C. The 2024 Conference theme is “Providing Equitable and Just Access to a Healthy, Sustainable, and Resilient Environment” and will be held in conjunction with Race Forward’s “Sustaining Racial Equity Across the Federal Government Training Program for Federal Civil Servants.”

The conference planners are interested in abstracts for panel discussions, workshops and training modules in all environmental justice related areas. Individuals selected to present will serve on a voluntary basis. All presenters must register for the conference. Conference travel expenses and hotel accommodations will be at the participant’s expense. A limited amount of financial assistance funds for travel, on a reimbursable basis, may be available for grass roots community representatives, tribal, and student conference participants who are presenters at the 2024 National Environmental Justice Conference and Training Program. If you are submitting an application for travel assistance, please submit it simultaneously with your abstract.
